Snow

This morning we woke up to the snow falling and a scenic view outside our window.  This wasn't our first snow but it was a surprise.  The first time it snowed back in January was really fun. It had snowed a lot all morning and it was on a Monday so Eric and all the other PC dads were home. The kids have loved playing in the snow, sledding down the hill across the street, snowball fights and making snowmen. It has been somewhat of a shock to them just how wet and cold the snow actually is. They come in after playing outside all red faced and shivering. Today the snow melted pretty quickly this afternoon but not before the kids could make a snow fort. I thought they did a pretty good job. Hopefully it will still be there in the morning and they can continue to work on it. We're supposed to have 7-8 more inches by tomorrow afternoon. Though I am eager for springtime weather the snow has been a real treat for the kids.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot that while the kids were out working on the fort Matthew came in crying and gushing blood everywhere. He had stepped on the shovel and it flung up and hit him in the mouth. He survived with just a fat lip.
